Bring Nellie into the group chat
By Erik Hope
Nellie can now help in group chats with anyone.
Start with the people you’re planning with
If you’re already a Nellie member, start a new group with Nellie and your friends, then send a message to get the conversation going. Your friends don’t need to join your household.
Try asking for picnic ideas that work for a few different ages, talking through a weekend outing, or brainstorming what everyone could bring to dinner. Give Nellie the details right there in the conversation.
What Nellie knows in the group
In a mixed group, Nellie works from that group’s conversation. The assistant answering there does not load your household’s private memory, lists or calendars. Share the details you want Nellie to use in the chat.
Start a new group for friends. If you add people to an existing household chat, previously scheduled household messages may still arrive there.
Adding someone to a group does not add them to your household or give them household access. That’s a separate, confirmed invitation.
Give it a try
Start a new group with Nellie and your friends in your messaging app, then say hello. Group-chat support depends on your messaging app and service.
